Spring Outfit Transition Tips

It's felt like a particularly long winter - and I am ready for all things Spring! There is still a chill in the air, so it's not quite time to completely pack up our heavier garments. But, there are a some simple ways to infuse the upcoming season into daily looks using what is probably already hanging in your closet. Here are a few strategies that work for me:

Add in lighter hues.

This is the time to start to embrace the airy feeling of Spring by replacing darker hues with lighter ones. It is a quick and easy way to brighten up a look.

Layer over or under some of your Spring/Summer pieces

Sick of your winter wardrobe? Start to pull out some of your favourite Spring/Summer dresses or jumpsuits. Add warmth and dimension by either layering a thin turtleneck underneath, or, pairing some of your warmer knits on top. This will also add versatility to those garments and improve their overall cost-per-wear!

Swap your go-to fall/winter boots for flats, loafers, block heels etc.

A great way to ease into showing off skin that has been hibernating!

Bring on the jackets!

Be it moto, denim, cargo, bomber, blazer...these layers give a vibe of lightness, yet still add dimension (and warmth!)
