Effortless makeup...yes please! Jones Road review

We recently spent a week in New York. One thing I love about visiting NYC is the opportunity to check out brands I see on line, in person. On this particular trip, I made sure I had time to visit Jones Road as I have been very interested in this makeup line created by industry icon, Bobbi Brown. This brand was founded on the premise that: the world doesn't need more beauty products, it needs better ones. And, I tend to trust Bobbi's expertise in this area.
When reading about the brand so many phrases resonated but these 3 in particular stood out:
1) Simple to use and easy to master
Yes please! I feel enough is said for me here, but it is worth mentioning I found this to be the case in the makeup application and when using the products myself afterward.
2) Focuses on a clean, no makeup makeup look
I've been reading that this is being deemed the “no makeup summer” as so many celebrities are walking the red carpets makeup free (I love that Pamela Anderson kicked off this trend a couple of years ago). As I write this, I have a black swollen eye due to mole removed at my tear line this week hence it will be a while before I don eye makeup. Focusing on a fresh, dewey face feels like a perfect plan. My black eye aside, I am all for products which result in fewer steps.
3) Effortless, versatile and skin-first essentials
When I chat with so many people about their style - effortless and versatile frequently top the list - I love that so many of these products can easily augment a morning skin/makeup routine and everything I tried was so hydrating.
I was so lucky that when I popped in off the street to one of their NYC locations, they were able to squeeze me in for a makeup application and tutorial. I love how easy the products are to apply and how wonderful they feel on. It literally didn't feel like I was wearing makeup.

If a natural, easy and polished “no makeup” look is something you also strive for, highly recommend giving this brand a whirl. I've put together a roundup of my favourite products here along with additional notes/thoughts on the particular items.
I'm still thinking about a couple of things I should have purchased when I was there, and will be adding them to an on-line cart soon!
