2021 - Elevated Comfort Trend

We may be turning a corner in 2021, but it's pretty clear that more time at home will continue for at least the first half of the year. That does not mean we need to completely throw style out the window, but the trends we are seeing certainly reflect what's going on in the world.

Matching sets, luxe fabrics, jogger-style pants in a range of fabrics, pieces that move with you all continue to be very popular. Silhouettes are leaning toward straighter cuts over skinny and not overly form fitting - think: a more relaxed and effortlessly cool feeling without being too oversized (as that can make us look larger than we actually are - it's definitely a fine balance to keep in mind).

Don't forget that by adding in one of the following style elements: colour, print, texture or shine - an outfit is easily elevated. This also applies to lounge or active wear.

Some hi-lights:

Hoodies: While hoodies are a timeless casual wardrobe piece, they will be having a real style moment this year in all sorts of colours, prints and fabrications. Wanting to dress up a little but still wear your comfy pieces? We'll be seeing hoodies paired under jackets or even with skirts.

Loungewear sets: We saw a lot of these in 2020 and they will continue to be very popular in 2021. The nice thing about a set is it can be broken up and worn separately for more versatility. But, it feels oh-so-stylish when worn together!

Knitwear: While technically very similar to sets mentioned above, we will be seeing many more co-ordinates done in knitwear this season. I'm loving some of the knit pants that are coming out - they feel very comfortable yet luxe. It's no secret I LOVE a sweater dress as well as the ease of a comfy sweater either pullover or cardigan style.

Pieces that move: Whether you need to wear a blazer, jumpsuit or a dressier pant; you can definitely find them in a more comfortable fabrications which will suit all of today's lifestyle needs.

I've outlined it all with some inspiration (and shoppable) links in this catalog.
